Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 July 2026
This policy explains what information Esperanes LTD (“Esperanes”, “we”, “us”) collects through our mobile games, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to BLOCKS and to any other game we publish under the Esperanes name.
The short version. We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number. We do not sell personal data. Our games are free and supported by advertising, which means our advertising partners receive limited device information in order to show ads. Your scores and settings live on your own device.
What stays on your device
Your best score, your current game, your settings and how many games you have played are stored locally on your device only. We cannot see them, and deleting the app deletes them permanently.
What we collect
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how our games are played in aggregate — for example, how long a typical session lasts or where new players stop playing. This includes:
- Anonymous usage events, such as a game starting or ending, and the score reached
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, country and language
- A randomly generated app instance identifier, and mobile advertising identifiers where the platform provides them
- Approximate location derived from IP address, at country level only — we never collect precise location
We use this only in aggregate, to make the games better and to understand whether our advertising is reaching people who enjoy them.
Advertising
Our games are free and are funded by advertising. We show ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and information about the ads you were shown and interacted with. Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s Privacy & Terms.
You can limit ad personalisation at any time from your device settings — on Android, under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Doing so does not remove ads, but makes them less specific to you.
Attribution
When we advertise our games, we use attribution services to learn which campaign brought a player to us. This uses install referrer information and advertising identifiers supplied by the app store, never information you type in.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the data associated with your device, to have it deleted, or to object to its processing. Because we do not hold accounts, the fastest route is usually to uninstall the app — that removes everything stored locally and stops all further collection. For anything held by our analytics or advertising providers, write to us at [email protected] and we will act on your request.
Data retention and security
Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google on our behalf according to Firebase’s standard retention settings, and is deleted on that schedule. A copy is also exported into our own Google BigQuery project so that we can analyse how the games are played — that copy stays inside Google’s platform under the same protections, and we keep no copy of player data anywhere else.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s store listing.
